UPDATE: I believe I have found out why the quad isn't functioning properly. As you can hear in the video, the ESCs emit a beep every 2 seconds. In the manual for these ESCs found here: http://www.sarkanyellato.hu/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/RC-Timer-10.18.30.40A-ESC-Instruction.pdf it says that the alert tone for: "Throttle signal is abnormal: When the ESC can’t detect the normal throttle signal, such an alert tone will be emitted: “beep-, beep-, beep-”. (Every “beep-” has a time interval of about 2
seconds) ". This is the exact alert tone that is being given off by my ESCs, as show in the video.
Because everything else functions perfectly such as:
-When connected to Mission planner, the RC values show up in mission planner while adjusted (This proves that RC is being received, successfully converted to PPM, and going into the autopilot.
-When the ESCs are directly connected to channel 3 of the quad, they calibrate and function (This proves that the ESCs and motors reply to signal they receive flawlessly)
Because of these observations I am lead to believe that there is a flaw in the output signal from the PXFmini to the ESCs.
As I have stated numerous times, this project is time sensitive, and because of that I have placed an order for another PXFmini to replace this faulty one.
@LanderU, can you explain why this piece of equipment is failing to transmit signal properly to the ESCs when it receives the signal fine? If this is an equipment failure, please email me regarding information about potential compensation/refund if this were the case.
