I have been trouble shooting a newly purchased ErleBrain3 Erlecopter for a few days now. It is flipping before takeoff. Most of the time it will flip forward, but on occasion it will flip backwards or to the right. This type of problem seems somewhat common with a number of different reason. I have been reading through the forums and guides such as these. (It will not let me post links?)

But I have not yet found a solution. The propellers are spinning the correct directions. Please see this video.
Please focus on when the props start and stop spinning as video aliasing will make them appear to spin differently at speed.
I also believe the motors are plug in the correct order.
Motor 1 on the front right red arm is pwm channel 1.
Motor 2 on the back left white arm is pwm channel 2.
Motor 3 on the front right red arm is pwm channel 3.
Motor 4 on the back right white arm is pwm channel 4.
I have checked this several times.
Please let me know any videos or photos you would like.
The mostly likely problem in my thoughts is the compass orientation. I have configured the compass in ApmPlanner2 as per the setup instructions, but the menu in ApmPlanner is very limited. I have looked at the much more detailed compass settings in MissionPlanner but im not 100% confident.
I also have another problem with the GPS. 98% of the time I plug in the Erlecopter I never get a gps fix due to 0 sats (15+ minutes). Shortly after preforming a pre flight reboot I will have 6-15 sats and a gps fix. I am using the Erle gps.
Is it possible to get a param file specifically for the Erlecopter 3 or a screenshot of the mission planner compass settings?
Thanks for any assistance,
