I got the image and installed it.
Good news is that it does not crash anymore!
eeeh news is that telemetry module worked, but then stopped, so I gave up totally, and now I am using telemetry over wifi (udp 6000)
Bad news is that GPS does not work.
Things I have tried:
- previously GPS worked with previous image and some hacking. bottom line, I could see GPS position on maps on mission planner, so at that time I realized the GPS is fine.
- tried overriding the apm.sh GPS variable both with /dev/ttyAMA0 and /dev/ttyS0
- Indication: on mission planner it states with red "GPS: no GPS" (when the GPS was okay, it would say "GPS: no fix", nevertheless, I tried these edits outdoors just to be sure)
Do you have any idea?
Question: is it possible that from previous image to frambuesa, the order of tx and rx pins have changed? I assume not, but that's the only thing I could think of.
Question: when connecting GPS to UART, is it mandatory to connect the I2C port too? my assumption was that I2C connection is for the compass, and so is not necessary. When it was connected I was given compass errors, even after multiple calibration rounds. But the GPS is not present in either case.
Thanks a lot,
