Hey guys, I was looking at the hackster.io page and it didn't carry any instructions for getting the Erle-Copter(Pi-W, frambuesa) ready to fly. My eventual goals are to be able to build an autonomous quadcopter from scratch, with add-on sensors and mechanisms, but for now I haven't had too much experience with either Linux or Robotics in general. I was looking at the main website and I used these three pages to kind of understand what to do from here:
1)Install Binaries Page
3)Erle Copter>First Flight
From my understanding:
1) The install binaries page is pretty straightforward, but I have a question about "How to compile APM code". I know with frambuesa, "If you have installed the binary using the debian packages, is not necessary to compile anything and after reboot your system the UI is disabled.", means I don't need to worry about this at the moment. But what purpose does that section serve?
2)I'm using an Edimax EW-7811UAC Wi-Fi Dual-Band 2.0 adapter for my wifi dongle. I noticed from reading other posts that not all dongles are compatible. Will I need to install drivers to get wifi connectivity to the drone? If so, where do I start?
3)It mentions Erle-Brain quite a few times on the "First Flight" page, I just wanted to make sure the same procedure applies to the RPI-Copter before I started.
Much love and thanks
