Following the tutorial here: http://docs.erlerobotics.com/simulation/vehicles/erle_rover/tutorial_1
The gazebo program will launch after executing the roslaunch command but almost immediately close. I have uploaded a video of what happens here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqNk7c720xQ
I am running 64 bit Ubuntu 14.04.1 and I have allocated a base memory of 5103 MB, and 128 MB for video memory if that is important. I also have turned on 3D allocation.
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you!
In this second: https://youtu.be/VqNk7c720xQ?t=52s, you are getting a core dump. This is the reason.
How much cores (cpu) are you allocated for this machine?
You can check it using nproc command.
I've allocated 4 processors for it. However, I've found that Gazebo will run if I turn off 3D acceleration. Though I'm only getting about 1 FPS.
Are you running in a VM? Don't do that if so, run Linux natively. I have my Windows system set as dual boot for this reason.
@PureRockets , yes, you are correct. simulator don't run well in VM.
Okay. Thanks for the responses.
I was only using a VM because I couldn't get the simulation to work on Xenial because of drcsim. I guess I'll dual boot with Xenial and Trusty ha.
