So, today, I took out the F330 for another flight test to dial in the settings.
I am currently trying to solve an issue with a delayed reaction which I am getting, when moving the copter backward and forward (like a pendulum swing). The copter is not "crisp" on the y-axis.
X-axis is perfect and very responsive, though.
Hopefully after another flight test session, I shall have this problem solved. I may even decide to use the dreaded autotune feature which was an absolute disaster when I previously used it

Escalarta OS Test
During the testing, I also had a chance to check out the newer Escarlata OS.
I had some issues with this OS.
1, I could not chanage/update to the new version of ArduCopter. Whenever I downloaded and replaced ArduCopter.elf, with the older/existing version already in the home/erle/ directory, that newer version of ArduCopter.elf would never start, no matter what I tried.
2, So, I decided to use the existing version of ArduCopter, which came with the OS.
This was the 2nd flight I had with that (I didn't record the first flight, but that one was an absolute disaster), using exactly the same settings as I am using with the Cyan OS:
I thought that maybe, there was something wrong with my hardware. So I took my Cyan OS (tried and tested), which is on my other microSD card. Switched SD cards. And within 4 minutes, I did this flight test (using Cyan OS):
So, from those tests, I cannot recommend Escarlata OS.
Perhaps the version of ArduCopter which is on Escarlata OS is significantly different from the version which comes with Cyan OS? I am not sure. But I won't be using Escarlata OS again. I also know that Denim (which was before Esc, but after Cyan) was very unstable and unusable.
I shall put this information in my assembly tips thread, as the problem which I encountered with Escalarta, may be the same problem which others are experiencing.
