I am using a Pi 3 with the PXFmini. The os image I flashed onto the SD card was the Erle-Brain-3-frambuesa-update-04-07-2017.img. I am installed the apm-rover-erlebrain. Here is my hardware setup:
When I use APM Planner, it says that I do not have any satellites. Is this GPS supported? Do I just have the wrong version of the apm software installed?
I tried doing the things recommended on here, as I had the same problem, but it did not work. Notice that post is for Erle brain 2, and I am using the PXFmini with the Erle brain 3 os.
I should mention,
sudo screen /dev/ttyAMA0
shows me some indiscernible data, which I have interpreted to mean that the GPS is connected.
$GPS=/dev/ttyS0, but following that post from before I changed it to /dev/ttyAMA0.
I was also able to get some equally indiscernible data from /dev/ttyS0 before I changed it. The data on /dev/ttyS0 seemed to be a bit different then the one that came in on /dev/ttyAMA0, but neither configuration made APM Planner say that there were satellites connected.
enable_uart=1 is in /boot/config.txt
When I am outside, the gps does have a blue LED that blinks. According to other posts on this forum, that seems to imply that the GPS has a fix.
Any ideas on what I should do? If this GPS is not supported, could you please link me to one that is?
