I have the OS flashed on a micro-sd, inserted into the RbPi, HDMI connected to RbPi. All I see is a steady green light on the PXFmini, but nothing is displayed on my LED monitor that I hooked up to it. The USB hub I'm using to power it is an Inland 7-port powered hub. I have it connected via USB-to-microUSB. Please help so I can start my autonomous missions
Here's links to pictures of the current situation (one at a time as per rules)
Here's a picture of the hdmi screen display
All the lights show up as they're supposed to when I hook it up to the battery/esc/power module circuit. But I can upload a picture of that if needed. Thank you for your help!
Which power rating has? May be you need more ampers...
Check the docs to get info about assembly and more stuff
The website I purchased it from is down right now but here's a link to it on ebay in case you're USB HUB savvy www.ebay.com/itm/Inland-7-Port-USB-2-0-Hub-With-Power-Adapter-Hub-splitter-066209-Very-Good-/401235191335?hash=item5d6b7b2627:g:TaIAAOSwnHZYXZWF
The power adapter for the USB HUB says 5V and 2.0A output. I'm not sure how that's translated by the hub.
@Caparino try with another hub, i.e. with a mobile charger that gives 1A.
I guess you have flashed an image for the RPi 0 (W).
Yes, Lander emailed me the updated version of frambuesa. I can't seem to find one in the market that specifically gives out 1A. Can you please recommend me a 1A hub that you know works with the RPi 0(that hopefully also doesn't cost too much!). I hope that's not too much to ask Thank you for your help sir!
@Caparino Any charger with a current rating >1A~750mA should work fine! I'm sure you've at home a mobile charger that works (I use it often). So you don't need to buy a new one
So use the HUB for the mouse/keyboard, and mobile charger for the power input?
I just tried to power it via mobile charger and USB. Nothing is displayed by my samsung LED display. The LED dusplay switches between hdmi and analog, possibly because it's trying to find out which one works. Which means it's sensing but not booting properly?
did you check if the MD5 of your image and the MD5 that you'd in your email are the same?
Hey lander, I'm not sure what md5 is.
The MD5 is to check if your file is corrupted. In the email you'd the MD5 is a string like this(no this!): 77d5a3ce97ccff226dcdaaf07d5721f5
If the MD5 that you'd in your email is not the same (with the compressed image) your image is wrong.
I generated an MD5 for the image in Win32 Disk Imager 1.0 twice, and it shows different than my email, definitely. Does that mean I need to re-download and re-flash my image? And generate the img file hash beforehand to make sure it's the same MD5 beforehand of course.
Also, if I change the file name does that change the MD5 value?
I redownloaded it, tried to generate hash MD5 value, and it's different from the email again. What should I do?
Are you checkin with compressed image?
Yes! Any silly change modify the MD5 hash.
I checked the decompressed. Which one should I check? I'm gonna delete all versions today, redownload and recheck the Md5. Please let me know if there's anything out of the ordinary I need to take care of
you're using a Windows machine, right?
Use these instructions to flash your SD card: http://docs.erlerobotics.com/brains/os_images/flashing_os_images/windows
Yes I am, and that's the exact page I used to the first time. Oh well, regardless, I'll do it one more time to make sure. After that, maybe you can help me troubleshoot step-by-step
Edit:check the uncompressed image right?
