I am using a Microsoft Xbox one pad joystick, and it was successfully recognized and tuned with the dropdown menu file->joystick. I am using APM Planner 2.0.18
However, the RC doesn't seem to override. The initial Setup->Radio calibration shows nothing even after the controller output is being enabled.
I was running tele_operation with the laptop before and it worked. However, I had to set the SYSID_MYGCS to 1. Now I changed it back to 255 or 252, and neither seems to have an effect after refreshing.
I was following this page http://ardupilot.org/copter/docs/flying-with-a-joystickgamepad-instead-of-rc-controller.html#overview for the setup, but the documentation seemed outdated.
I wonder if I am missing something to enable the overriding to work.
