I am working on a project to integrate the flowberry project from https://github.com/ctu-imr/flowberry into the erle-brain. I have successfully ran this project on a separate raspberry pi with an IMU and sonar specified in flowberry project. Since completing that task, I am now in the midst of rewriting the project to use the Erle-brain IMU. I have been piggy-backing from the ros_erle_imu implementation but run into issues with the spidev devices. Currently, my erle-brain does not list any spidev devices even after enabling spidev access in the raspi-config menu.
Am I seeking to access the IMU on the Erle-brain in the correct manner? I would prefer not to use ROS to accomplish this current task.

EDIT: Further investigation. I attempted to run the vanilla ros_erle_imu implementation as root but still run into issues with the returned error "Error: Can not open SPI device".
